European Journal of Medical Case Reports

Welcome to EJMCR. The journal has been serving the healthcare community for free for more than 3 years. Recently, we are stuck with a lot of cases because of the lack of competent reviewers. Please volunteer yourself to review a few cases. Your participation to promote medical sciences and purging it from fatal errors will benefit the community in particular and humanity in general. Together, we can achieve it. Please register yourself as a voluntary reviewer here.
EJMCR also accepts videos related to the case reports, medical/therapeutic/surgical techniques and Ultrasound Scans.
(EJMCR is a not-for-profit journal. We follow ethical publishing practices as recommended by COPE. We don't have any fast-track publication service upon extra payment.)

Capecitabine-induced vasospasm: a case report

This is a case of a 52-year-old male patient who had received adjuvant chemotherapy consisting of capecitabine, 3 mg orally once per day, after resection of moderately differentiated invasive adenocarcinoma in the transverse colon. Three days (3 doses) after the initiation of chemotherapy, the patient reported typical anginal chest pain and an electrocardiogram (ECG) indicated ST-segment elevation. A repeated ECG in the catheterization laboratory showed normal results. Echocardiography showed that left ventricular systolic function was moderately to severely reduced. Coronary angiography revealed normal coronary arteries.
